Kick Start of 1 lac Fruit Tree plantation At Village Bahin Palwal
 

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Jayaprakash Dalal urges farmers to plant less water-intensive crops.

Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Jayaprakash Dalal of Haryana Government said that the country's economy was very well handled by the rural farmers during the time of Corona. Minister Dalal addressed the people as the chief guest at the fruitful plantation program held at Bahin village today. He called upon the farmers to plant less water-intensive crops. Instead of paddy, he encouraged farmers to plant fruits, vegetables and horticulture crops. The farmers were asked to plant gardens.

The minister first visited the idol of Amar Shaheed Dada Kanha by garlanding it and then planted saplings in the park. After this, he visited the public library established by Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat. Also visited Bahin's Gaushala. After that, he kick-started the tree plantation program from the “Barat Ghar”.

The Minister praised SE Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat for the unique initiative to protect the environment by plantation, increasing farmers' income and improving health. Further, the Minister also openly praised the social work being done by the KBC society and also thanked SGI organization and the NGO for this noble cause.

The chief convener of this program was Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat (Bahin), Superintending Engineer, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Gurgaon Haryana. The event was organized in collaboration with KBC Welfare Society Palwal through the United States-based non-profit organization 'One Tree Planted' and social enterprise 'Sustainable Green Initiative' (SGI) in Bahin village of Palwal district.

Giving information about the importance of fruit plants, Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat said that fruit plants will help in fighting hunger, poverty, pollution and climate change. Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere absorbs gas and gives us pure air in the form of oxygen. If there are more trees then there will be more rain. Trees lead to greenery. The roots of the trees are helpful in saving water and prevents soil erosion, which helps in preventing the falling groundwater level. Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat believes that the fruits plants will increase the income of the farmers. The farmer will become self-dependent. Eating fruits will improve your health. Which will increase their immunity to diseases and even a terrible epidemic like corona cannot spoil them.
 
Advocate Vedram Rawat and Hukam Singh of KBC society said that the plantation of more than one lakh fruits has started in about 50 villages of Palwal district today by the honourable Agriculture Minister Dalal and Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat from Bahin village. Plants will be distributed from 6 different places on different dates. The centres are - Bahin, Malai, Mindkola, Dhatir, Aurangabad and Prithla. 8-10 villages will be provided with saplings from each centre. Primarily lemon, pomegranate, guava, papaya, berries, amla, sitaphal and kalonja plants will be distributed. The institution has already planted more than one lakh fruit saplings in villages.

In the program, Hathin area MLA Pravin Dagar also expressed his views and appreciated Dr. Rawat saying that Dr. Rawat participates in social work very well. SGI Captain Rajendra Singh told that his organization will be planting trees in Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad In Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Maharashtra and West Bengal, in the monsoon season, in July and August, the program of planting 5 lakh fruitful plants followed the instructions of Corona Lockdown. Everyone planted saplings with masks and proper social distancing.

The dignitaries and sarpanches of Rawat Pal welcomed the minister with a flower garland and a turban. A statue of Krishna Radha was presented to the minister by the KBC institution. Ramprasad of Bahin thanked the minister for visiting village Bahin. Some demands were made from the village which the minister assured to fulfil. Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat praised the social work being done for the environment, plantation, education, canal water and green energy. KBC Advocate Vedaram Rawat thanked the forest department Hodal and Palwal for their support.

Dr. Shiv Singh Rawat on behalf of IIT Delhi Alumni Association initiated the adoption of villages under the Cleanliness Campaign which was launched by Chief Minister Haryana. In the last few years, Dr. Rawat has planted more than one lakh fruit saplings in 50 villages of Palwal district with the help of various organizations like SGI, Hero Motocorp, Satriz, Nagaro and KBC. Dr. Rawat has appealed to the farmers to participate in this campaign in a big way so that the environment can be saved by planting saplings.

Plantation program includes Ram Prasad Sarpanch, Ratiram from Bahin & Kanha, Devi & Master Ramjilal from Nagal Jaat, Vijay Sarpanch from Pahadi, Jawahar & Vijay Sarpanch from Pahadi, Bhim Singh Master Secretary Goshala Committee, SGI Captain Rajendra Singh & his team, K.B.C. Welfare Association- Advocate Vedram Rawat, Hukam Singh, Advocate Vikram Sorout, Advocate Abhay Singh, Dharamveer, Advocate Ravi Rawat, Anurag, Babita and all the KBC team, Samasuddin from Mithaka, Mehboob & Nazim from Khiluka, Harun from Kot, Sonu from Aharanwa, Vishal Tewatia, Kallu from Kondal and dignitaries from Bahin Village and adjoining villages were present.
