Senior BJP leader of Haryana advocate Pramod Kumar Saluja expressed happiness over selection of former Minister OP Dhankhar as the President of BJP Haryana and conveyed his best wishes.
In a press release, Saluja said, “OP Dhankar is an experienced leader. By making him the state president, the BJP in Haryana will get more strength. He has an excellent track record as a cabinet minister BJP government in Haryana. During his tenure as a Minister of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, he did outstanding service to the state. Apart from this, he also served extremely well in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's dream project 'Statue of Unity'. Elected twice as the National President of BJP Kisan Morcha and was the President of Bharatiya Kisan Morcha for two terms.”
“After completion of his Master's degree and M.Ed from MDU Rohtak, he worked as a lecturer in Geography for 11 years in Bhiwani. Dhankar is not only a good politician but also an excellent educationist, social worker and farmer leader. He was also the National Secretary in the State BJP and was the National Secretary during the time of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He worked in RSS, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and Swadeshi Jagran Movement. Shri Dhankhar was in charge of Himachal Pradesh BJP and played an important role in forming the BJP government there,” he added.
Pramod Kumar Saluja further said that OP Dhankar has also done work to raise the voice of farmers in the country. To get proper compensation for land acquisition and to implement the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, he took out the Pad Yatra and Cycle Yatra as the National Chairman of Kisan Morcha. Based on these many achievements, the BJP has entrusted them with such an important responsibility and by staying in this post, he will work to strengthen the BJP.
