Dr. Rawat elaborated that literacy rate in Haryana state is 76% and female literacy rate is 66%. There are some areas of the state where literacy rate is very low. The literacy rate in districts of Palwal and Mewat is 69% and 54% respectively. If we look at the female literacy rate it is 50% and 37% respectively. There is huge gap and it is a matter of concern for modern India. Keeping in view these facts we have taken a lead with IIT Delhi Alumni to provide free quality education by Vidhya app to students of government schools. This platform is available for teachers, principals and students to keep online learning even during these difficult times of Covid19.

The initiative which has been started from Palwal district today will be launched in Haryana and then throughout India. Our aim is to make the children of poor sections in the country self-reliant.
