In a true democratic tradition, despite Covid-19 Pandemic Inner Wheel elects its members for this financial year. So the responsibilities of all the members star from July 1st 2020. It in the present complex situation of the world due to Corona Pandemic their election has attracted the attention of all.
Ruchika Gupta, who is known for her visionary and dynamic personality, has been elected as District Chairman. In her message Gupta said, " my heartiest greetings to all the members of Inner wheel for entrusting this huge responsibility. I will try to offer my best of services." Urvashi Mittal is elected at District Treasurer for Inner Wheel District 301 for 2020-21. She joined the organization in 2009 & she served in different responsible positions in the organization from last several years. She is very active in the organization and even completed Editorship & ISO posts in the organization.
“We have grown up in a world full of contradictions which theoretically tells us that if ‘Wealth is lost, nothing is lost’ but practically equates money to Time through ‘Time is money’ & explains the importance of time as ‘Lost time is never found again’. In the light of current lockdown situation, all the members have special responsibilities and duties. But we are determined in our vision and mission,” said Mittal.
She wants to give her best to make this society a better place. Inner Wheel is the world’s largest women voluntary service organisation. It is spreading more than 104 countries all over the world and more than one lakh members.
Members offer practical support as well as financial help whenever there is a crisis, whether this occurs locally, nationally or internationally, for natural disasters or for people suffering in war-torn regions its members are helping wholeheartedly. They work on promotion of friendship, encourage the Ideals of personal service and foster International understanding. Members achieve these aims through Club events, which combine personal service, fund-raising, fellowship and fun, united by friendship and a common aim to serve the local community.
India is divided into 27 Inner Wheel Districts. Delhi falls under District 301 covering Delhi & its nearby area with around 2300 members Inner Wheel works at 4 levels like Club, Distt, National & International.
For its smooth functioning members have to pay a nominal subscription amount every year. All its dedicated members are role model in the society for their social and humanitarian works.
